After spending a day working in my hotel room in Anchorage, I enjoyed spending several hours with my mother-in-law, Carol. I Can Still Sew!

As much as I've loved creating with glass this past year and a bit, I've really missed fiber. Yarn, fleece, roving, fabric.... Log Cabin Clock

Glass Candle Holders and Christmas Ornaments

I thought I'd share a couple of things I've been working on lately in the glass world. These little fused glass candle holders are just the right size for tea lights (about 4" tall). These ornaments are mosaics with pieces of stained glass on clear glass so that they're transparent (except for the grout lines). I'm planning to do a class on these in December. A Good Day to Dye

Twice each summer, my wonderful mother-in-law, Carol, hosts a dye day at her house in Wasilla. An assortment of women from the Valley Fiber Arts Guild and Anchorage Weavers and Spinners Guild bring over yarn and fiber to dye. It's possible that I'll have to disown my daughter. I love her dearly and I couldn't ask for a better daughter in most regards, but she came home last week with the most distressing of news. Women Artists Project Update

Here it is, nearly the end of February. I should have two Women Artist projects nearly complete: a Hawaii journal inspired by Violette and a stained glass piece a la Robbi Joy Ecklow.
