I went for a four-mile tromp through the woods after work today, partly because I needed the exercise and partly because I was hoping to clear my mind. I'd had a very personally frustrating afternoon at work, and needed to let it go. Unfortunately, all I did was stew and fume my way through a lovely cold afternoon. I didn't solve any problems, but I did get a good workout. I also saw a pretty sunset and a fabulous set of shelf fungus on a cottonwood stump. It's the little things that make life bearable.
Now I'm hoping a little whiskey while soaking in the hottub will melt away my frustrations for the night.
For you, I have the sunset and fungus. Enjoy.
