As she did last week, Angela over at Anonymous Legacy posted three photos as inspiration for this week's Visual Dare flash fiction challenge. You can check out other's stories by following the links from Angela's blog.
Migraine
You clamp your hands on your head, trying to stop the whirling, trying to keep your skull from flying apart like an over-wound clock. Burrowed under the covers in your bed, your eyes are shut tight against the zebra stripes cast over you by the window blinds. The slow arcing of the sun across the sky is too much; the light creates fractals on your eyelids. You concentrate on breathing, on actively relaxing the muscles in your neck, jaws, and temples. You feel like you are going to die, but are afraid you won’t.
