It seems as if I've been running about madly, but getting nothing done. I've been trying to make sure everything is in place before I leave Friday morning (!) for my trip to Bangkok and Bhutan. Goodness knows, if I don't have everything done, my family won't survive without me!
Of course, it's not true. They'll survive just fine. The worst I'll come home to is a dirty house, but, to be honest, it'll be dirty when I leave, too. I can live with that. At least I managed to get the bills paid last night. Now I just need to wash towels, clean the bathroom, write down Rowan' schedule.... No, no I don't!
I've been trying to pack, but have been stymied because much of what needs to go in the bottom of the suitcase I'm still using on a daily basis: bike helmet, warm pants, windproof vest, gloves, etc. It doesn't help that the stack of what needs to go into the suitcase is bigger than the suitcase, and I've already done a good job of being minimalist. I haven't yet decided if I'll give Thane a chance to tell me what I don't need to take with me. I may just end up in Asia without shampoo!
Ah, well, I just needed to vent for a moment, and you are stuck being my target audience. Now I am going to focus on blue butterflies and find peace. Thanks for being here.
