My apologies to Celeste and Kim. We had a great time making stained glass sun catchers this weekend, but I failed to share the results with you after we were done yesterday. The fun of glass was overshadowed by the thrill of my first bike ride of the year. Today's ride was fun, but hardly newsworthy, so I'm taking this opportunity to belatedly share their creations with you.
This was Celeste's first stained glass project and she did a great job. She's a natural with fussy, careful work. Of course, I love her color choices, too.
Kim's done stained glass before, but it's been a while. She wasn't going for a Christmas look necessarily, but ended up pleased with her results. This piece challenged us both with a last-minute repair job, but all ended well. Simply lovely.
I managed to get a small piece completed as well, but failed to get a photo of it. I'm planning to have it and couple of others, as well as some fused glass, at the Raven Spirit gallery in Valdez by the end of the week. If you haven't stopped by the shop yet, do so. Raeann Kruger's done a great job making the most of her space in the orange building where Calico Whale and Rogue's Garden live.
