Hmm, I realize now that I forgot to have Christmas music playing during my class yesterday. That would have been appropriate while making mosaic Christmas ornaments. We were so crowdedwith eight people in my little studio, however, that we wouldn't have been able to hear it anyway. I think everyone had fun and was pleased with their results. As always, beauty was created.
Jan's dove will be a lovely gift for a friend
Linda claimed she wasn't going to make an ornament, but ended up with a beautiful star.
Leslie's Santa was by far the cutest ornament made.
Sara's gingerbread girl was her first glass creation.
Cynthia's star was very elegant in a surprising choice of colors.
Rowan and Sara worked together to make gingerbread sisters. I think Rowan played with the grout bare-handed on purpose!
Once again, I was thrilled to see the choices everyone made. I would never have thought to combine orange, yellow and gold in a star as Cynthia did, but it was a gorgeous combination. Leslie's non-traditional Santa colors were fabulous, too, and her decision to glue blue glass blobs on for eyes was perfect. They really brought her Santa to life. It was a successful day for everyone.
