It's been a reasonably productive long weekend so far. Not quite what I had in mind, but my planning didn't take into account a head cold that moving into my lungs. Ugh. Nonetheless, I've been having fun down in my studio.
I'm very happy with the necklaces I created with some of the pendants I made previously. Mostly, I was playing with bead soups - mixtures of different sizes and types of beads all in the same color group (mostly). The necklaces really jazz up the pendants and make them something more special. Here are a couple of photos - I couldn't decide the best way to photograph them.
I also got three mosaic Christmas ornaments almost done. I need to get some grout so I can finish them. As much as I miss working with fiber and fabric, there is something special about the sparkle of glass.
