Baffling Glass

I'm baffled. Frustrated and baffled. Last week I fused this plate. You can't really see it in the photo (boy, I say that a lot), but the blue and black glasses have a piece of clear fused on top of them (the odd mottled pattern is air bubbles trapped between the layers) and the center square is slumped down about 1/4" below the black rim. Height and Status

As she stood at the kitchen counter preparing a cup of cocoa, I noticed that the top of Rowan's head is now well above the bottom of the upper cupboard doors. She's grown quite a lot lately and, according to her doctor, will grow a lot more in the next year. Someday, I anticipate that she'll exceed my own not-short five foot eight. Glass Candle Holders and Christmas Ornaments

I thought I'd share a couple of things I've been working on lately in the glass world. These little fused glass candle holders are just the right size for tea lights (about 4" tall). These ornaments are mosaics with pieces of stained glass on clear glass so that they're transparent (except for the grout lines). I'm planning to do a class on these in December.
